A rare look at a 1937 Plymouth 1/2T pickup. Plymouth built pickups from 1937 to 1941 after World War II they never produced anymore. I found this 1937 in a barn between Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tenn. It was rough. Over the next four years it was built with sweat and love. The sweat I produced, the love was my wife and her patience. The frame and cab was extended 18 1/2 inches and added a third door with a fold-up back seat (jump seat.) The power is 241 Hemi bored 80,000 over alum pistons, a Hot Head cam and a 6 pack, a Plymouth 727 trans, Plymouth Duster rear end. The third door is hand made, as was all metal hand fabricated.
