Check out this beautiful survivor 49 Buick Roadmaster convertible. Buicks of the 40’s and 50’s were idolized as the most prestigious cars of the Hollywood movie stars. This one is the most desirable color…soft yellow and the interior is red genuine leather. This roadmaster is equipped with hydraulic power windows, power seat and top. It has a push button AM radio and the exclusive center windshield antenna that can be rotated from the driver’s seat. Just think of a hood that can be opened .....
from either side….another milestone of the Buick’s from the 1940’s and early 1950’s. The powertrain is the straight 8 fireball, famous for it’s quiet and powerful operation. The displacement is 320 cubic inches, with a Stromberg AAUB 267 Carb and is rated at 152 horsepower. The transmission is the famous 2 speed Dyna Flow and it drives and shifts with no issues. The power train is smooth and drives excellent…no leaks.
The age of the paint cannot be determined but is not the original. However, it is the original color. It has the usual chips and scratches but no reports of rust anywhere on the body. Some of the side moldings are dented but they are all there and could be professionally straightened and polished. The Grille has some slight pitting and has on tooth missing on the right side. The power convertible top is intact and goes up and down manually until the hydraulic pump gets running. All the arms and bows are in good condition and the fabric is in fair condition with no apparent leaks. Both door glasses are cracked.
If you noticed on the windshield, there is a Mexican Tourist sticker – I thought this was interesting.
