(Draft, subject to change)
Champagne Wishes and Caviar Dreams are just the appetizers with this cream puff. This is one of just 716 Bentley Azure Convertibles manufactured between 2006 and 2009. If you're looking to stand out from others, from the simplicity of a car show or a cruise night to adding a new jewel to your rolling stock, this Bentley is for you!
Dressed in Peacock Blue with a complementary blue cloth power-folding top, this example was made at Bentley's facility at .....
Crewe, England in October 2006. After arriving in the United States, it was originally bought at Bentley of Tampa Bay in Clearwater, Florida on December 26, 2006, with 74 miles on the clock!
That owner had the car serviced for the next six years at the following intervals: 3,272 miles on November 20, 2007; 6,218 miles on April 29, 2009; 8,316 miles on May 7, 2010; 8,580 miles on June 23, 2011; and 9,454 miles on August 16, 2012. Most of these service intervals took place at Bentley Long Island in Jericho, New York. The vehicle later ended up for sale at Marshall Goldman Motor Sales in Cleveland, Ohio.
The car's paint and trim are in overall excellent order, the bodywork is straight and solid and the body-colored bumpers fit tightly to the body. The engine bay is extremely tidy.
This big blue beauty rolls on Pirelli PZero radials, size 255/45ZR19 at all four corners. Each tire is mounted on a factory, chromed, 12-spoke alloy wheel. The wheels are in excellent shape but the tires are just in good, original order.
Under the hood is Bentley's 6.75L OHV twin-turbocharged V-8, making 450 horsepower and 645 lbs-ft of torque and breathing through dual exhausts (code L410MT22) (Bentley's cousin, Rolls-Royce, used simply describe the power as “sufficient.”). Backing this engine is a ZF six-speed automatic transmission (code 6HP-32), driving the rear wheels.
Driver convenience features are impressive - electronic climate control with dual zones, power rack-and-pinion steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, adaptive cruise control, power windows, power locks, power sideview mirrors, power front seats with heat + memory, navigation and a back-up camera.
Safety equipment includes dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes and traction control.
Inside, the interior is in overall very good order. The Linen front buckets and rear seats look great, wearing Connolly Leather. The Wilton Wool Carpet is done in contrasting black. A four-spoke, wood and leather steering wheel sets off the instrument panel, which is swathed in burled oak, as are the inner door panels. There are even drilled alloy pedals. The dash and center console are all in similar shape. A factory infotainment system completes the interior.
Documentation includes original service handbook, original owner's handbook and a small case of information.
Competition to this Bentley in 2007 included Aston Martin's DB9 Volanté, Audi's S4 Cabriolet, BMW's M6 Cabrio, Cadillac's XLR-V, Jaguar's XK 4.2 Convertible, Lexus' SC 430, Mercedes-Benz's SLK 350 and Rolls-Royce's Phantom Drophead Coupe.
If you've ever wanted to own a Bentley or if you're looking for another one to add to your collection, this one is a prospective candidate for most any buyer. Stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today to check out this big blue cruiser!
