2,225 actual miles! Let's go right back to 1987 in this time capsule Silverado Blazer. This is all original and looks practically brand new! 1 owner with clean Carfax.
EXTERIOR: It is beautiful to look at the black with the red striping. This show quality truck is original from 1987. I've been all over this paint job and cannot find anywhere it's been repainted. It's smooth and glossy with no rust or damage. All the chrome, trim, moldings bumpers are also in excellent shape. All the .....
weatherstrips and rubber seals are still soft. All the glass is crystal clear. The removable roof is in excellent shape. It is sitting on its original Uniroyal tires and rally wheels.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting inside right now, and it is literally as close to brand new as you will ever find. It has a very plush red velour upholstery, bucket seats in front with a center console and a removable seat in back. The cigarette lighter and ashtray have never been used. All the plastic chrome, vents, heater control panel are still shiny. There is absolutely no wear on the steering wheel, pedals, shifter knob etc. From carpet to headliner, it still looks new, new, new. Features include a tilt wheel and its original digital AM/FM cassette stereo. In the glove box is the original owner's manual. It also includes shop manuals that were bought back in 1987 and still look new as well.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has the optional 5.7 liter 350 motor. It's completely original other than a few maintenance items like the radiator hose, battery, and alternator. It has been inspected and serviced in our shop, it's running and operating very well. Features include air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. The original jack has never been removed; all the pollution equipment is in place.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Remember the pop out chrome handle that you roll the window down with? Then you reach inside to open the tailgate. Inside the back is all carpeted and upholstered and still looks like brand new. The spare tire has never been out of the car.
UNDERSIDE: Very well preserved. It has 4 wheel drive, the transfer case still looks like new and has the manufacturer's tag dated 1987. Power disc brakes in front, drum in back. Complete exhaust with catalytic converter and dual tail pipes. The fuel tank still looks clean. The bottom of the motor is clean. It has a manual 4-speed trans with a hydraulic clutch.
SERVICE: Our shop drive and inspected this time capsule. They replaced a reverse light bulb, alternator and battery. They charged the air conditioning too.
I'm still amazed at how clean this unrestored, original 38 year old Blazer is! Take a blast from the past in this time capsule. This era Blazer is going up in value with a long way to go considering the age of the group that it appeals to.
