1977 GMC log truck with a self-loading boom/cable system. The cable is about 100' long (and can be extended) to pull logs from far away, and then the boom turns so that it is fully self loading. It's a newly rebuilt 5-speed transmission with 2-speed rear end, all of drive train works well, transmission and engine, although the loading system needs a new cable and some work and we stopped using it since we now have a Bobcat and another self-loading truck that loads much heavier logs. The cab is .....
clean and generally good condition. Easy to drive for an older truck. Speedometer and fuel gauge do not work (we use a GPS), but everything else is fine. We have added a heavy duty bumper and receiver hitch on this truck, and beefed up the boom loader and other components for safety also. After several repairs and upgrades on the boom and loading mechanism, we have loaded 3500-4500# logs with it many times over the past few years.
