1975 Chevrolet Corvette
The 3rd generation of Corvette was produced by Chevrolet from 1968 to 1982. As with their typical pattern with previous generations, Chevrolet changed up the look of the C3 significantly from previous years. Initially a lot of the mechanical and chassis components carried over but the body and interior design were completely new. It would eventually go on to set sales records in the late 70's and also introduced the "Stingray" name as now a single word .....
versus 2. Not only does it bare that name but the stingray stylings were clearly apparent with its pointed nose and broad front end. These were the ultimate sports car and this 1975 is really something special. When talking about these old classics the word "documented" comes up often in regards to numbers, originality, etc. Well this car shows 17,445 miles on the odometer and has a title from the previous owner showing 15,676 "actual" miles as of April 2018. We will leave you to judge whether that is enough documentation to verify its low mileage but also consider the condition because that speaks for itself. The car is painted in a very nice Medium Metallic Tan which really looks nice. It really suits the bodylines very well and has been redone in the past. Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control, the car now has an area of stained paint on the hood as a result of oil dripping during transport. Pictures are available on request because it is quite honestly very difficult to see in certain lighting. All of the original exterior accents are in great condition including things like the chin spoiler which, among other things, help to back up that low original mileage. The car rides on a set of its original wheels with center caps and Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. It is pictured with missing center caps on one side but those will be installed in new condition prior to purchase.
Powering the car is a great running 350 ci V8 that roars to life with 1 turn of the key. It is the numbers matching original motor and has been fitted with a few upgrades including a Edelbrock Performer intake, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, and new distributor. In addition to being a numbers match the car, it was ordered with power steering, power disc brakes, and air conditioning all of which are working properly. It really is a smooth running car that is a joy to drive.
The interior is another place to point at when considering the low mileage. The Tan upholstery throughout is in excellent condition. This includes the carpet, headliner, everything. All of the typical spots you would expect wear show zero signs of it which is a testament to how well it has been cared for. Between the original bucket seats is the original console with power window switches, the emergency brake handle and the console shifter. On the dash everything is stock and in good condition. The steering wheel looks good as well and sits on top of the tilt/telescoping column.
This car is an excellent driver and looks great while doing it. Plus with those classic Corvette T-Tops you can cruise around as a semi convertible when the weather allows. We don't suspect it will be available for purchase for very long.
