Description
1973 was the last year of the first-generation Mustang and the last year of the Mach 1's dramatic "Sports Roof" styling. This exciting 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 tribute pays homage to the great performance-packed Mustangs of the past with a Big Block engine and numerous upgrades.

Finished in Bright Red with Black Mach 1 graphics and stripes, this powerful Mustang looks the part with a black-finish factory twin scoop hood, chin spoiler, rear wing and body-colored bumpers front .....
and rear. Chrome dual exhaust tips exit through cut-outs in the rear valance panel. The muscle car vibe of this classic is enhanced with a set of 17-inch Magnum 500-style American Racing wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich performance tires staggered 225/45ZR17 front and 255/45ZR17 rear for a confidant stance.

Rebuilt 460 cubic inch V8

Rebuilt C6 automatic transmission

Weiland aluminum intake

Holley carburetor

MSD distributor and ignition

Stainless Works mufflers

Rebuilt 9-inch posi rear end

Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes and master cylinder

17-inch American Racing wheels

The black interior is equipped with factory high-back bucket seats, tachometer, Ford logo floor mats, custom console with cup holders, an upgraded wood-rimmed steering wheel and a set of Auto Meter gauges to monitor oil pressure, water temperature, vacuum pressure, volts and transmission temperature.

Under the hood is a professionally rebuilt and installed 460 cubic inch engine, which is much larger than any engine Ford ever put into any Mustang, mated to a rebuilt C6 automatic transmission. Upgraded parts include a large radiator with electric fans, MSD distributor and ignition, Weiland aluminum intake manifold, Holley carburetor, K&N open-element air cleaner and headers that follow back through a rumbling dual exhaust system with balancing pipe and Stainless Works mufflers. A 9-inch posi rear end with 31-spline chromoly axles and 2.90 gears gets power to the ground. This Mustang handles great thanks to power steering, Viking adjustable coil-overs in the front and rear has well as Viking adjustable shocks. Stopping power is greatly improved with Wilwood brakes all around featuring drilled and slotted rotors and a Wilwood master cylinder. A spreadsheet from Velocity Restorations showing over $50,000 of work to build this Mustang comes with the car.

With cool styling, a big 460 engine and numerous upgrades, this final-year, first-generation 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Tribute car is a rare find. Call today!
