1969 Chevrolet Camaro Custom
The first generation of Camaro was unveiled to the world in late 1966 for production to start in 1967. It was Chevy's major entry into the Muscle Car era and designed to compete directly with the Mustang. This first gen body style continued through 1969 and would go on to be one of the most popular classic cars ever made. They are now the base for some of the toughest pro touring hot rods on the road. This beautifully built 1969 Camaro has been extremely .....
well done from top to bottom. In perfectly marries the Camaros classic body lines with pro touring performance for a 1 of a kind street machine. The body is laser straight and coated in a gorgeous two tone dark and light Silver metallic that really gets shown off when you pull it into the sun. Between them is a bright Red stripe separating the two along the body edge and these Red accents continue throughout the car. It is clear the interior, engine compartment, exterior and even undercarriage belong together and were designed to have the same theme. It has a great side profile sporting a front chin spoiler, cowl hood and rear deck spoiler. The original style bumpers and stainless window trim has a beautiful shine and is cleanly mounted in place. The glass is tinted and has zero cracks or issues. It really is a stunning car in person. It has a great stance and rides on a set of Billet Specialties wheels with 175/40ZR17 Sumitomo tires.
The level of detail packed into this build is unmatched by many classics is out there. One place that is very apparent is located right under the front hood. This beast is powered by a GM LT1 block 383 stroker motor that has been bored 0.40 over. It is very responsive and offers all the power you could ask for. It features its factory aluminum heads, new springs, a 3 angle valve job, comp aluminum roller rockers, comp roller timing chain set, hydraulic roller cam, Howards hydraulic roller lifters, a 3.75 strok crank, I beam rods with ARP bolts, sealed power pistons, 10-1 comp ratio billet oil pan, billet timing cover, a Melling oil pump and MSD distributor. One of the coolest features however is the very unique crossram intake with rebuilt 600 Holley double pumper carburetors. This is a very cool set up that is always going to be a hit at shows. Topping off the carbs is an angle mounted chrome Chevrolet air cleaner. The lettering is all done in Red and you see those same Red accents throughout with the Red air cleaner base, Red Taylor wires and more. The engine compartment is extremely clean with everything nicely painted just as nice as the body and chrome/billet components everywhere you look. It has a nice smooth gloss Black radiator support with a polished aluminum radiator. Even things like the fan shroud and guard are polished out. Not only does the car perform but is very worthy of showing off. The hood hinges are custom machined as are the fender braces. Combined with the motor is a 4 speed transmission that transfers power back to the Jegs Ford 9 inch rear end. The front end is a Heidts independent with large polished A arms. Everything was built up to handle the horsepower. Take a look under the car and that Silver/Red combo is evident throughout. It has Wilwood disc brakes under all four corners and added Viking adjustable coil overs.
The interior is very classy and uses Black leather upholstery with Gray and Red inserts. It is in very clean condition showing just how well it has been cared for since completed. The Gray carpeting is just as clean as is the headliner and door panels. It has dual high back bucket seats and a bench in the rear. Between the front seats is an original style console with seat belt mounts and it has been modified with a gloss Red shift plate. Through that the Hurst shifter is mounted and it moves through the gears smoothly. The dash is painted in Silver and combined with a Black dash pad. In place of the original gauges it now has backlit White Equus gauges that have been custom molded into the dash. In front of the driver is mounted a polished tilt column fitted with a custom aftermarket wheel. The trunk has been kept clean and simple with nice Gray carpeting and plenty of storage for your car show gear.
This is a very high end build that is sure to not disappoint. It shows well, drives well, and will make all your Camaro buddies jealous. Don't miss it!
