1967 Ferrari 330GTC with Matching Numbers This matching numbers 1967 Ferrari 330GTC s/n 9393 is a nice driver and well sorted example just out of a thirty year ownership. Rosso Cina 20456 S (a dark red non-metallic) from new and in the same dark red today, over a very straight body with supple black leather and red carpet. It wears a quality older restoration and so is an excellent driver thats mechanically strong. It also has good older paint and nice original chrome as well as exceptionally .....
nice original leather on both the seats and inner door panel, nicely accented by the original red carpets, a dash covering that presents well, a good face on the wood dash and all switches and controls in excellent order. Has factory power windows. Fitted with very nice Borrani 14 X 7 RW 4039 wire wheels mounted with Michelin XWX 205/70 VR 14 tires. The carbs and water pump were just rebuilt so 330 GTC s/n 9393 GT runs and drives very well with a well-tuned and very strong engine and great syncros, warm or cold.330 GTC s/n 9393 was the 140th of only 598 330 GTCs built, delivered new in Jan, 1967 to a Mr. Zambonini in Bologna, Italy and then in 1968 to a second Italian owner. In March, 1970 Ferrari 330 GTC s/n 9393 was sold into the US by Dino Armando Genghini, a used Ferrari dealer in Milan to San Francisco, CA, going to Nick Manarello, owner of Manarello Import Auto Service, Palo Alto, CA. In 1993 Ferrari 330 GTC s/n 9393 was sold to Jan Friberg, a fertility Doctor in Winnetka, WI and remained in his collection until earlier this year. Today, 330 GTC s/n 9393 has only 64,095 kms or 39,826 miles over 55 years, so a mere 1,165 kms or 723 miles per year. Today, 9393 is a pride of ownership driver, nice enough to show with pride at weekend Ferrari events yet with the right patina to make driving worry free. The body is straight and the paint shows well with nice bright work, very good trim and nice glass. Panel gaps are good to very good with no obvious issues. The Borrani wire wheels present very nicely with nice gloss and polish. All four wheels are fitted with Michelin XWX tires with lots of remaining tread. All lights, including the Carello H4 headlights, lenses and emblems are in very good to excellent condition with excellent finish. The overall presentation is elegant and appropriate for driving enjoyment.The interior leather presents well with very good fit and finish on the door panels and headliner, as well as the top of the dashboard, the center console and the rear package shelf, finished off with excellent carpets and period correct over-the-shoulder seat belts. The instruments are in very good condition with solid numbers and dark dial faces, matching overall with the quality of the interior. The trunk compartment is correctly carpeted. Under the hood, the engine and engine compartment and hood pad are tidy, clean and show good overall finish. The underside of the car is clean and dry, with correct components, proper exhaust and heat shields, correct suspension and brakes. Having been a part of a large collection during the past three decades, the car has been kept very nicely detailed and mechanically tended to on an as-needed basis.The car starts easily and settles into a smooth idle. The exhaust note is nicely composed and delivers excellent sounds both at idle and going through the gears. Thanks to the ample torque, theres never a lack of effortless power or performance. The clutch and brakes operate as expected with the gearbox delivering smooth shifts and easy engagement in each gear. While 2nd gear synchro is often a major issue with these cars, it is very smooth even when cold. Driving is composed and balanced, pulling smoothly to high rpm without smoke or hesitation, showing excellent oil pressure and correct running temperatures. The car performs just as aficionados will remember from the Road & Track and Car & Driver roads tests of the period, long since validated by decades of GTC owners.The 330 GTC has always offered the best balance between elegant understated styling and state-of-the-art handling and performance of any of the Enzo-era Ferraris, and this 330 GTC will not disappoint.
