Tempest. The second generation of the Cutlass, these were popular for buyers looking for a more sporting version of the classic American coupes and sedans. Larger than the generation it replaced, it is spacious enough to comfortably carry four, and comes equipped with the 330 cubic inch V8 with a four-barrel carb that means more than 300hp and easy power to cruise in.
This example is unrestored and largely original, featuring a color change to Burgundy that has patina and some fade, but a consistent finish from panel to panel. The interior is free from tears or cracks, and the trim chrome shows age but no damage, and is complete. Some minor evidence of rust can be seen along bottom edges of the body, but overall, the car is well preserved, and with mileage verified to be at 89k.
In preparation for sale, the Cutlass received a full inspection and tune-up, fitted with a new radiator, fuel pump and filter, and had a carburetor overhaul performed by The Carb Shop in
