Description
Factory Five was founded in 1995 in a small garage and has since grown to be the largest manufacturer of kit cars in the world. The MK4 Roadster was designed to accurately reproduce the looks of the legendary 427 Cobra. Not only was it able to keep the styling intact but it also was able to incorporate modern technology, parts and materials to improve performance reliability and comfort. This particular example was purchased in late 2016 with a list of upgrades from the mfg which include the .....
powder coated chassis, big & tall leather seats, chrome roll bars for both the passenger and the driver, a 14" leather steering wheel, sun visors, stainless steel bumpers and the wicked stainless steel side exhaust with chrome heat shields. The heart of this bad boy is a wicked 427ci Dart short block with Edelbrock aluminum heads topped with Cobra valve covers and a matching Cobra air cleaner. It is sparked via an electronic ignition and fueled by a Quick Fuel 780cfm 4 barrel carb and with its side exhaust it sounds just plain nasty. The engine and TKO500 5-speed tranny were turnkey assembled by Forte Racing and is estimated to produce 600hp. The vehicle was assembled by Midwest Rod & Restoration who did an amazing job with fit and finish. The exterior is a brilliant Metallic Silver with Metallic Black body stripes off set by thick Red pinstripes. It is fit with a set of 17" American Racing 2 piece spinner wheels with staggered fitment. The front tires are 245/45ZR17 and the rears are a massive 315/35ZR17s. It has a Koni coil-over suspension with adjustable upper control arms and a Deluxe 3-link rear end fit with a Ford 8.8" posi rear end. This set-up delivers so much power to the rear end that the only problem you are going to have is keeping the wheels from spinning. After having the car built the owner had brake boosters added so it stops as quickly as it goes. This is a turn-key street rod that is an absolute pleasure to drive and has only been driven about 350 miles since it was completed. All said and done close to 75K was spent bringing this dream to reality. The best part about this one is that you will not have to wait 3-4 years to put your own together. This one is destined to sell as fast as it goes so if you like what you see we encourage you to contact us before it is too late!
