Fairlane 500 Skyliner was the first mass produced car to feature the "Hide-Away Hardtop"

OVERVIEW:
The Skyliners retractable top operated via a mechanism that folded the front of the roof
and retracted it under the rear decklid. Instead of the typical hydraulic system, the top
used seven electric motors (six for 1959 models) and worked reliably. As a frame-off
restoration this beautiful example operates like new. Production totaled 20,766 units in
1957. This is truly a must-have to round out anyones collection of 1950s Americana.
