I am an Oldsmobile man. I love the 54&55’s. I love Starfires of any year. But this car took my heart! And I am now offering it for the second time. We sold it a couple of years ago to a very particular collector. He enjoys driving his cars. At that time it had just under 49,000 ACTUAL miles on the odometer. It came to us the first time after spending most of its life in Oklahoma. This is a California built car. The dry climate and obvious care preserved the car and it has always been .....
show-worthy. The top and paint were done some time back. Both are extremely nice. I believe the chrome and stainless is original and it is all wonderful. The special interior was very nice before Dan bought it, however it was original and showed some patina. He had the seats recovered in correct leather of the correct colors, a new parade boot and well for the top were installed, new carpet was laid, the dash was refinished. It all looks exceptional. In addition, the trunk was reupholstered. Mechanically it performs at a very high level. I have personally cruised in freeway traffic at over 80 mph. And there is much more there. It is quiet, powerful and responsible. Dan had the front end, suspension and rear end completely refurbished. The brakes are new. The radial tires have just a hundred miles on them. The entire hydraulic system was overhauled. Both the top and power windows work as good as new. New rubber seals and weatherstrips were installed. There is simply nothing left to do but enjoy it! Well, that isn’t quite true. You will need to maintain it and clean it. The Royal Marine and Capri Blue paint is too nice to be neglected. Polishing the chrome will help preserve it. Yes, it all takes time, but having a car of this quality is something to be proud of. Showing it off is mandatory! Driving it is extremely important. Not only is it good to exercise your car, you need to relieve some stress. Driving your Starfire will certainly provide great satisfaction. Enjoy the Wonderbar controlled radio, appreciate the GM power steering and brakes, feel the wind in your hair. Certainlythere is much to tell. But the reality of it is that you and I should have a conversation. If you have any amount of love for wonderful cars, we will get along great. Please review our photos. Do your research. There are not many of these cars to be had. Few are as well cared for as this one. We would be honored to introduce it to you.
