1940 Mercury Eight, Beautiful Four-Door convertible. Only a two-year production run. Rare vehicle. The first-generation Mercury Eight was introduced for the 1939 model year. The Eight was the first Mercury model available, to fill the market space between Ford and Lincoln as a mid-range offering. Steel upper dash in gray, either original that was removed and expertly painted, or it’s a replacement – all original gauges with extremely nice chrome bezels. Original factory steering wheel. Column shift. Original Clock mounted dead center in the dash. Correct steel wheels painted to match the car. Ribbed ring wrapped Babymoon cab with the script mercury and outer beauty ring.
