Description
For consignment a blue faded to purple flamed open wheeled, open cockpit, open engine wild T bucket. With those great looking Cragar 5 spokes, large rear tires, and double chrome supported straight windshield we are in Kookie Kookson heaven. Exterior All tubbed out the exterior has an off white background and blue to purple flames and other embellishments using the same faded together colors. Up front there is a low rectangular chromed Ford radiator out there for all to see. This is .....
flanked by a single chromed headlight on either side. A chromed dropped axle with a horizontal leaf spring and shocks is providing the front suspension and is all chromed. Big side pipes, chromed flank either side and a chromed pumpkin can be seen when looking at the boxed rear with more purple/blue trimmings. 14 x 6 Cragar SS wheels up front are wrapped by 205/70R14’s, and on the rear 15 inch Cragar SS wheels are wrapped by massive 29/15/15LT tires. All hanging out there for the world to see. Interior A single white wraparound tufted and buttoned bench seat nearly fills the tub, but leaves just enough room for a centered steering wheel in blazing blue. A simple blue dash is in front and blue carpeting covers the floor. A B&M shifter climbs from the floor, and a rear padded bench is on the back of the car hides a fuel cell. Drivetrain A Corvette 327ci V8 with a Holley 4-barrel carb on top and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission on back of the mill and a Ford 9-inch rear makes the car go forward…don’t forget to look at the shiny hi rise manifold topped by a chromed air cleaner and cover. Undercarriage A rust-free metal frame with plenty of wood intertwined with the underside mechanicals. Some surface rust is on the underside edges of this car. Drive-Ability Unfortunately, we could get this car to crank, but never got it to run. The gas could be soured, as it appears with a deep red cast. The original Hot Rod style in the form of the ubiquitous T bucket takes us back to the late 40’s and early 50’s and the beginnings of drag racing on the street. The less adornments the less weight, and the faster the car will go. This car lets it all hang out. A simple but effective theory and design.
