Q: Greg, I have a 1936 Olds Coupe. The car came from Illinois and it has a rumble seat in the back. How rare is this car and how many are still around. I have attended a lot of car shows and I've never seen one. Also, what is the current price of this car? Ronald H., New Philadelphia, Ohio.

A: Ronald, you don't mention if your Olds is an 8 or a 6-cylinder, so I'll give you prices on both. The 230-inch inline-6 coupes go for somewhere in the neighborhood of $4,800 to $9,000 depending on condition. The 257 inline
8 commands more, with a price range of $6,600 to $11,550. Had your Olds been a convertible, it would command $11,600 to $20,300 in drivable and good shape up to $37,000 for a frame off, show car restoration. There were 7,426 six bangers and 2,302 eight cylinders built in 1937.
