EXTERIOR: .....
Exquisite! The professional 2 stage PPG paint job is show quality and was applied with expert precision. We have receipts for over $24,000 in body work and paint. Looking down the side of the steel body it is 100% straight as an arrow with smooth contours and crisp lines. All the panels have been painstakingly aligned with consistent gaps that are well above average. The long heavy doors close easily with minimal effort. All the glass was replaced except for the rear quarters. They all have new rubber seals and fuzzy strips too. The vinyl top is in excellent condition. It has billet hood pins. The slant nose front end and grille are in excellent condition. The builder expertly fabricated custom fender scoops that were modified from a Trans Am. The rear bumper was tucked into the body, painted body color and the lower portion was custom fabricated for the exhaust tip cutouts. The rear spoiler was also custom fabricated. It's sitting on a set of staggered custom wheels with Chevrolet center caps and polished tips. They are 18"" in the front and 20"" in the rear with a fat 275/40R20 tire size.
INTERIOR: Amazing condition and swivel seats! Everything looks new and the white is awesome against the frost green! New weatherstrip, new carpet, new dash pad, new headlight switch, new speaker assembly, new headliner, new upholstery with front swivel buckets, new pedal assembly, new mirror, new shifter, and handle too. The stereo is also new and has Bluetooth capabilities and a microphone for hands free calling. It has dual toggle controls for the sideview mirrors. Additional gauges monitor the vitals. The dome light is working.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Professionally rebuilt 454 that was decked, bored, and honed. The rods were resized. Lots of head work completed including a valve job and True Deck. They also did a regrind & polish of the crankshaft. New Speedpro piston rings, rod, and main bearings. New Melling timing chain and oil pump. Lumpy camshaft with .501/.295 exhaust lift. Peanut port on the Weiand Street Warrior intake. Coated Hedman headers. Serpentine accessory drive system. Holley Sniper fuel injection. Dyno tuned at 367 horsepower and 482 ft lbs of torque. Brand new aluminum radiator and electronic fans. All the hoses and wires have all been replaced. It's equipped with air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes. The underside of the hood, fender wells, and firewall are all painted satin black. Even the hinges and latch assembly look new. The battery is properly secured and the squirters are hooked up.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Exceptional just like the rest of the car! The underside of the trunk lid and jamb are painted just like the body. The weatherstrip was replaced and it has a reproduction sticker plus a trunk mat. The trunk light works. The trunk pan is all exceptionally clean metal with a neatly applied spatter finish paint. It's complete with a full-size spare tire, jack assembly, lug wrench, and fire extinguisher that are all properly secured.
UNDERSIDE: Exceptional! The entire steering system is fresh including a new steering gearbox. It's equipped with front and rear swaybars. The complete suspension was upgraded with new shocks and springs etc. 2"" lowering springs and gas shocks in the rear. It has power disc brakes at all four wheels with humongous rotors and Wilwood calipers. The emergency brake is also hooked up. Fresh exhaust pipes were custom bent with a x-pipe and Dynomax mufflers leading to polished tailpipes that exit under the custom molded rear bumper. The gas tank was replaced and is now compatible with fuel injection. All the lines are new. Looking up at the 454 V8 engine it is nice and clean with spotless Chevy orange paint. The Tremec TKX 5 speed manual transmission is brand new with a fresh mount also. The driveshaft was resized. The 10 bolt posi rear end was rebuilt with a new yoke and 3.08 gears. The floors are solid and rust free with a thin undercoating and fresh black paint. The frame was also prepped and painted.
SERVICE: Our lead mechanic thoroughly inspected this car, and we adjusted the clutch, replaced the speedometer gear, and adjusted the rear brakes. This car was extremely dialed in when we purchased it!
These slant nose Lagunas were dominating NASCAR, Cale Yarborough was behind the wheel of several of those wins. As a tribute to him this car has Cale Yarborough special stickers, they are removable.
