Description
This 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 was ordered new by US distributor Chinetti-Garthwaite Imports and was manufactured on March 9, 1973, before being delivered to Algar Enterprises in Paoli, Pennsylvania. Chassis 16447 was sold new on August 17, 1973, via Bobcor Performance Corporation in Williamsville, New York, to HiFi shop proprietor and eventual Piston Foundation founder and CEO Robert P. Minnick, who retained it until 1976. The car then spent several years with another New York owner who had it .....
repainted red before it again changed hands and spent time in Ohio, California, and Colorado. It was purchased in 2011 by Wayne Carini, who had it repainted in its original shade of Silver Metallic. It was purchased by its current owner in 2022 and subsequently received a mechanical refresh by Patrick Ottis and Co. in Berkeley, California, that included rebuilds of the limited-slip differential unit, brakes, and suspension. Power is provided by a 4.4-liter Colombo V12 that breathes through six Weber carburetors and is paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional features include servo-assisted ventilated disc brakes, four-wheel independent suspension, 15” Borrani wire wheels, black leather interior upholstery, air conditioning, power windows, and a Becker Mexico stereo. This Daytona is now offered on dealer consignment with copies of its original order and sales documents, Ferrari heritage certificates, invoices and correspondence from previous ownership, owner's manuals, a tool kit, a set of Cromodora alloy wheels, and a clean California title.
