Right out of Original Parts Group's collection. They had this car ground up restored to be used to showcase their new Cadillac line of parts. It was used in their SEMA booth 2016, on and in several catalogs, and multiple promotions. It was professionally restored by JH restorations.
EXTERIOR: It is impressive, a beautiful Coupe DeVille! Professional body and paint, I don't know if it looked this good when it was new. Long panels are straight as an arrow right down to the rockers. It .....
fits square and flush. Repainted its original Baroque Gold, the metal flake is all laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished smooth and glossy. I'm guessing a small fortune was spent on the chrome and trim. The front and rear bumpers, grill, headlight bezels, tail light bezels, emblems, door handles, vent window frames are all show quality. All the stainless trim is straight and polished. It's had a new vinyl top and new windshield. All the weatherstrips were replaced. The hubcaps look like new, and it has reproduction dual stripe white wall tires.
INTERIOR: I'm definitely not sitting in a Camaro or Chevelle! Big beautiful bench seats front and back with folding armrest that have been completely restuffed and reupholstered in the correct fabrics and vinyl. The carpet down on the floor is replaced, up above the headliner and visors were redone. In front of me is a very nice dash area. I noticed the big giant cruise control dial over to the left and a climate control dial to the right. The dual ashtrays are as big as glove boxes on today's cars! The interior lights work. The door panels are in excellent shape, they were restored and the fabric matches the seats. The windows and seat are power on this cruiser. In the glove box is the original pouch with owner's manual and warranty book that has the VIN number of this car on it.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Oh my God, this hood weighs a ton! A big 472-375 horsepower motor with 525 lbs of torque runs smooth. It features air conditioning which has been updated with r134 freon. Of course, it has power steering, power brakes and the other rare option is the cruise control. It has horns that sounds like a train. It looks like the battery is new along with the alternator. Overall, it is very clean, well maintained and proper. The squirters are hooked up, new hood insulation The underside of the hood is painted real slick.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are just as slick as the car. The weatherstrip has been replaced. It has its original sidewall liner kit with a new carpeted floor mat. It has a 5th matching spare tire that's never been used with a complete jack assembly and a soft car cover is included. The trunk light works!
UNDERSIDE: It looks like new! Clean metal floors painted black. The steering and suspension were rebuilt. The brakes were redone. A correct exhaust system was installed and a new fuel system. Bottom of the motor is clean along with the Turbo 400 automatic and heavy-duty rear end.
SERVICE: We thoroughly inspected this care and made it ready for the road. We installed new wipers, serviced the air conditioning, replaced the turnsignal switch, hose clamps and lateral arm bushings.
This is an opportunity to buy a class ride with great provenance. I'm sure the restoration would cost far more than we are asking!
