Description
This car lived in the south its entire life. It was campaigned for 40 years by Hank Blankenship. It was known as the Blankenship and Raleigh Camaro. We found it on Racing junk. It was sold after Hank’s passing last year. It was just freshened prior to his illness. It was still in a 90’s vibe. Blue! The engine is a 496BBC with big tube headers and dual quads on a tunnel ram. The transmission is a Powerglide with transbrake and electric shifter. The rear end is a Dana 60 with 5.13 gears and a .....
spool. We put on brand new Cragars. The rear are 14? wide. The front end was modified in the early 70’s by Scott Chassis in Landrum, SC. Quain Stott knows the car well. It has his tag attached to the dash. The front suspension is a modified Mustang II. The front brakes are disc. The tub is 1967 Camaro. We have a title that matches the factory serial number. The hood, fenders, doors and deck lid are fiberglass. The windows are new Lexan. The floors and tubs are aluminum, as are the door panels and dahs. There is one seat with new Safety belts. We don’t know the weight yet. Certainly it is minimal. The previous owner was running in a 9.90 index class using the delay box. I expect the car to run in the 9’s all day long. The paint is new. It is base coat/clear coat. The lettering was done by some of the best in the world! There is gold leaf and special lady on the doors and hood scoop. I plan to race with Midwest Nostalgia Pro Stock this summer… unless you buy it first http://topnotchvehicles.com/our-terms-and-conditions/
