There is an Optima yellow-top battery and various Edelbrock engine parts and a MSD distributor.
Inside, the redone cab features a pair of black leather bucket seats, vibrant carpet, a clean-looking headliner mat, a metal dashboard with matching inner door liners. There's a Dakota Digital dashboard plus an Auto Meter 10,000 rpm tachometer with memory. A three-spoke Grant steering wheel with a wood rim faces the driver's seat. For its 50th anniversary year, there was a significant redesign of front end, featuring a shorter/full-width grille, four headlights instead of the previous two, and parking lights in the grille instead of being in the front of the fender. The hood is similar to 1955/1956 models, but with a flat “valley” in the middle. A new “Styleside” all-steel bed replaced the Cameo/Suburban versions; called “Fleetside” by Chevrolet and “Wideside” by GMC, available in 6.5-foot and eight-foot lengths.
